Best Songs & Drama Rambling ~~~

Hi Lovlies ~~ How's your week treating you so far? I kept thinking my giveaway ends tomorrow, but actually it ends on Saturday! It's almost ending so enter now!!!

The other day my hubby ask me if I know Utada Hikaru.. & I was like " Of Course!" & then we started listening to her songs, including " First Love". <3 It's especially good after you haven't listen to it for a while!

Personally I am not really the type who goes 'gaga" over celebrities. Even the ones with talents that I truly appreciate. I do get myself indulged in their music occasionally & I find it very enjoyable!

I think most of you should know First Love, I am not sure if it was famous because of the Drama or because the song itself. I would like to think it's the song itself, because many has forgotten the drama but the song never left their hearts!

I was not a drama addict back then, so I actually never saw the drama : Majo no Jōken (魔女の条件) ("Terms of a witch"). But I know it's about love between a teacher & a student. I think I will make it into my watch list!

The next song is also from Utada, "Flavor of Life" It's in the drama " hana yori dango" but it's also in some video games I think ( not a gamer, but heard this song on game advertisement!)

Hana Yori Dango:
I know a lot of girls goes 'gaga' over Japanese guys, I used to never get it until I start watching their dramas! Compare to China, Taiwan and korea, I have to say Japan have the BEST drama! In over quality : Plot, Acting, Camera, Costume, Music, ... etc etc. =) So if you don't think Japanese guys are hot ( like I used to think), watch the dramas & you'll change your mind! hahahahha

I can continue list basically all of Utada's songs because it's actually hard for me to not like her songs! ( Except her English only songs, I don't find them very good)

Next celeb I want to talk about is Christina Aguilera. As you might already known, I think her voice is like a Goddess! I actually don't like her songs as much as I do with Utada's. ( I don't like every single piece) I admire her voice more than her songs!

The Voice Within:

One of the pieces that I could listen to repeatedly without getting bored. There's not too much accompaniment, so you can clearly listen to her beautiful voice!

Fighter:

Another piece that I could listen repeatedly ~ I think it's powerful, and independent. Getting back up and becoming stronger after getting hurt not down!

Next: Jay Chou ( Taiwan Star: Songwriter, Singer, Actor, Direct / Green Hornet Star)

Lately I had become more and more into Jay! I always known he's famous but I was never really into him until now that he has done a hollywood movie. Even though it may just be another movie to the non-asian viewers, I think he did take a big step in his career and did great job =)

I am actually more into him for his talent in music making such as piano playing, composing lyric and music instead of his actual singing. His recent Hollywood movie: Green Hornet I think is also impressive, although not perfect, but with 1 month of learning English, it was definitely well done! * Green Hornet Movie Review Here.

Chinese Singer: Landy Wen Chinese: 溫嵐

I actually don't know her well at all, it's rumored that she had a relationship with Jay Chou ( Green Hornet star) But I just like this song. Basically because of the lyric.

Fool ( English Translation)
Lyrics : Landy Wen Lan
Music : Kenji Wu Ke Qun

Actually, we all knew the bad things that he did
There's no difference
Their eye glistening, a moving love story
Close my eyes, pretend that they are gossips
Actually, we all knew other people's tricks
There's no difference
Pretend to be weak, innocent and shy
But it's a little pretentious
Fool perhaps is more innocent
Their love is not so fake
I don't hold back when I love
Fool, we're all the same
Let love hurt us again and again
Believe that this 'he' is not the same
But we got hurt and yet again
Fool, we're all the same
We're hurt but not giving up
Believe that all we gave will come back
But giving is just a word, fool

Aright, I think this post has been long enough~ so I will end here ^^

Day 2: Someone you adore – 5 reasons why

I think this topic is very difficult. I think most people will post their friends here. & well the obvious reasons why because they're friends, they support me, they're sweet.. etc. & I guess that's what I am SUPPOSE to post here, cuz these topics are suppose to let the audience know more about ME. But I decided not to do that, because we all have friends and I think it's impossible to understand why we personally adore our friends unless we know the history.. & well, that would be a long ass blog! ( plus, I would have to post too many ppl here... I can't just pick one)
Well, if I post someone who is not my personal friend, it is still difficult.. but let me try.

In the Music world.. I adore...

1) Chopin
Obviously, I adore him for his music. He lived in the Romantic Era, with the piano available as it is today. You can use a lot of pedal with his music, & I love using pedals because it's much less likely to hear a broken phrase. I won't elaborate too much since we all know who he is.

2) Sergei Rachmaninoff (English: Rachmaninov)
He is a Russian Pianist, live in between Late Romantic and 20th century Era of music. I think the blend is great, because a lot of 20th century music include too much dissonance sounds (unpleasant sounds). It is still music but difficult to listen and understand it unless you did the research. For Rachmaninoff, I think he had just enough dissonance but not too much, thus, it is still pretty easy for me to listen. His music is very powerful with lots of strong characters.

3) Christina Aguilera

I know, she's completely different then the two persons above. I am kind of scared that I put them in the same category. I adore Christina, I love her voice. If I have a genie, I would wish to have her voice!

In the Modeling World .. I adore..

Heidi Klum
There are too many beautiful people out there, it would be impossible to say who is the most beautiful. For me, I think a beautiful body definitely needs some curves, so I crossed out all the skinny people! I think Heidi is so beautiful, especially baby after baby, I hope I will be able to do that too!

In the movie world... I adore..

Johnny Depp.
NO I DON"T THINK he's hot. & actually I don't understand why girls would think that way, unless it's because they are truly overpower by his talents. Ok, I don't know anything about acting, but I do feel like he's one of the only actor who truly transforms in to the character that he is playing. Most of the time I don't even recongize that it's Johnny Depp in the movie unless I was told so.
oh... So I guess instead of someONE I adore with Five reasons why, I ended up with Five persons I adore. haha. Well, close enough!.

Golden Globes Gorgeous 2010: Christina Aguilera

"I wanted to create a soft natural look on Christina to compliment her gown and new haircut," said Kristofer Buckle for NARS Cosmetics.

"Her dress choice was a beautiful pastel peach with silver. I didn’t want the look to fight with her gown. The final look is chic and seamless, with a earthy colored smokey eye and glowing skin."

Below is Kristofer's step-by-step recipe to recreate Christina's look:

Complexion:
* Use the Balancing Moisture Lotion and apply the Makeup Primer as a base.
* Apply Firming Foundation and set with Pressed Powder.

Eyes:
* Apply the vanilla side of India Song Duo Eyeshadow as a base, over the entire lid and up to eyebrow.
* Next, use the shimmering walnut shade of India Song Duo Eyeshadow and apply to the outer corner and under the bottom lash line.
* Then, use the warm rich brown side of Cordura Duo Eyeshadow just under eye rubbing into the lower lash line to create smokey eye.
* Curl the eyelashes and apply a coat of Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara to top and bottom lashes, following with 2 coats of Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara for full lashes.
* Take Nuits Blanches Eyeliner Stylo and dot in between individual lashes.

Kristofer's tip: "I used the Push Eyeliner Brush to blend the eyeliner in between the lashes, which helped to apply just enough without looking to heavy."

Lips:
* Use the Fantasia Lipliner Pencil and Niagara Lipstick.
* Next, apply Easy Lover Lip Gloss (new for Spring 2010) over.

Kristofer's tip: "Applying a sheer pink gloss on top of a nude colored lip provides a nice modern pop of color."

Cheeks:
* Generously apply Orgasm Illuminator (new for Spring 2010) to cheekbones, décolletage, and shoulders for an all over glow.
* Use Malaysia Multiple Bronzer to contour cheeks by blending under cheekbones.
* Apply the Mata Hari Blush to the apple of cheeks and lightly tap on brow bone.

Kristoper's tip: "Lightly dusting a blush on the brow bone gives life to the eye and melds the whole look together."

* Next, with short, back and forth quick strokes use Nico Blush to highlight cheekbones.

Parenthood Looks Pretty On Xtina

Cover girl Christina Aguilera strikes a pose for People, and shares the spotlight with her newborn son. Says Aguilera of little Max: "He's completely changed my life."

For more photos of the Bratman fam, pick up the new issue - on newsstands tomorrow.

Extra, Extra

Mrs. Jordan Bratman strikes a pose on the cover of January’s Glamour UK. The Xtina-filled issue hits newsstands on December 17.

Oh, yeah…and I think she might be pregnant.

Mamma Mia / Hot Mama

Christina Aguilera is no longer keeping her pregnancy on the DL. At recent events, the songstress has been proudly showing off her growing baby bump. Too bad she’s still keeping that maternity glow hidden under layers of theatrical makeup. Although Aguilera has made (baby) steps in the right direction by trading red lips for pretty pink ones, she has a ways to go. Is it wishful thinking that the onetime dirrty girl will fully come clean?

On the other end of the spectrum is Keri Russell, who is looking resplendent on the cover (and inside the pages) of Lucky Magazine’s November issue. 2007 was a good year for the actress - as she married her longtime love, gave birth to son River, and became the new face of Cover Girl. “I don’t spend a lot of time on my makeup, but throwing on black mascara and nude lipstick is enough to make me feel glamorous,” she says. Her low-maintenance makeup includes Lash Blast Mascara in Very Black and Tru Shine Lipcolor in Blushberry Shine - both by Cover Girl.
