Here's A Dry Idea: Apply Antiperspirant To Your Face!
Last night, Jerrod Blandino, creator of Too Faced Cosmetics, appeared on The Daily 10 - sharing tips to meltproof your makeup. Most of the tricks were somewhat obvious (like wearing waterproof mascara), but one was absolutely genius:To keep perspiration from forming along the hairline, mix a small amount of clear antiperspirant with liquid foundation and apply.

Here’s what’s Kourtney had to say about her makeup must-haves:
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer: I started using this whenever I had a photo shoot and needed my makeup to last all day. I became addicted to the way it makes my makeup smooth on so perfectly, so now I use it every day.
Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation: Whenever I get my makeup done, this is the one item I bring with me and ask the makeup artist if they want to use it. I swear I have turned a few makeup artists onto it after they tried it on me…it’s amazing!
LORAC Double Feature Concealer/Highlighter: I love Lorac in general…the creator Carol Shaw is a family friend and makeup genius. This is probably my favorite product and Carol actually suggested that I get it. I use it as an everyday under eye concealer. There’s a wand on the other end of it that has a shimmery highlighter too! Lorac’s palettes are always the most wonderful colors, so I always buy them when they come out with new ones.
Smashbox Bronze Lights Bronzer in Suntan Matte: My search for the perfect bronzer never seems to end. I was getting ready at my sister Kim’s house last week who happens to have the best makeup collection, and I think I discovered the perfect bronzer. I went out and bought it the next day. Bronzer mission accomplished.
NARS Orgasm Blush: I have used this for as long as I can remember…it always does the trick to freshen up my face and give it that extra pop of color. They just came out with Super Orgasm…which is the same heavenly color with a touch of glitter…so fun and perfect for summer. I hear it is the number one selling blush in the country, so I can see why.
Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Onyx: Goes on super dark, and lasts longer than any others I’ve tried. An easy way to turn my makeup from daytime to nighttime ready.
Too Faced Lip Injection Lip Plumper: My fake twin sister Adrienne Bailon (Cheetah Girls) and I tried this on together, and literally fell in love. Our lips looked so juicy and delicious. They had the best color to them too and looked like we had been making out with someone for hours. The trick is to put it on with nothing on your lips, and when you reapply, wipe off what’s on there first!
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Highlighter: This is a highlighting/concealer wand, and basically like a magic wand. I use it as my last step when doing my makeup. I use it under my eyes to get rid of any fallen eye makeup, down the center of my nose as a highlighter, and under my lips to make them pop! I don’t leave home without it.

Sometimes Not Reading Labels Actually Pays Off
For the past few weeks, I have been applying Too Faced Mineral Water Eye Brightener to the inner v of my eyes to make my peepers pop. The nudish beige shade has a slight sheen that is the perfect marriage of matte and shimmer. I've been searching for such an eye pencil for forever...but the irony of it all is that this is not the product's intended use.

Too Faced Lash Injection
If you’re a regular reader of Spoiled Pretty, you’re pretty familiar with my escapades. You know that I’m not a morning person, and I often go to work without a stitch of makeup. I relish my extra 10 minutes of sleep so much that I will endure a day’s worth of embarrassment, without regret.
But last week, I should have been ashamed of myself. One morning during my commute, I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the bus window. And let me tell you…it was a serious case of shock and awe. I won’t get into the specifics - but let’s just say that despite the lack of available seats that day, the one next to me remained empty for my entire trip.
The bus was only five or so blocks from my stop, so I smoothed my hair as best I could and furiously burrowed in my bag – looking for some miracle product to salvage my grave facial situation. I pulled Too Faced Lash Injection from my handbag and prayed for the best, as this mascara was a sample that I had yet to try. As the bus quickly neared my destination (why is it that the commute goes faster when you’re stalling for time?), I haphazardly swiped on Lash Injection without a mirror – closing the cap and re-depositing in my purse just as the bus doors opened at my stop.
Once inside my office building, I fell into my usual routine: rode the elevator to my 2nd floor office, booted up my laptop, logged onto my work email account, and checked my voicemail. VIG (Very Important Gloss)
A few weeks ago, I blogged about mood-changing lip glosses and recommended purchasing Too Faced Mood Swing over Smashbox O-Gloss; my reasoning was that they were essentially the same product and Mood Swing costs less. Well, I take it back. I take it all back.
Yesterday, I received a tube of O-Gloss in the mail (courtesy of Allure Experts) – and I am deeply in love with this gloss. The moment the clear gel hit my lips, it morphed into the most flattering shade of pink...I was very impressed. Rich in antioxidants and botanicals, this non-tacky gloss moisturizes with avocado oil.
O-Gloss has already become a staple in my makeup bag.

Mood Swing

Personally, I think the gimmick is kinda clever*. Nevertheless, I doubt I would ever purchase this product because I’m a control freak. Call me uptight or boring if you want to, but I don’t like surprises – and I really don’t like capricious cosmetics. But if you insist on wearing makeup with a mind of its own, I would recommend Mood Swing over Smashbox O-Gloss (which happens to be sold out online and in many Sephora stores). They're essentially identical glosses, but with Mood Swing ($18.50 for .45 oz, versus $22 for .34 oz), you get more product for less money.Or you could spend the same amount on a pretty pink that never changes its shade, but always looks great on you – regardless of your mood.
