Britney Spears Is Blonde Again

Look who's blonde again! It's Britney, b*tch.

After months of rocking a darker do, Brit Brit decided to lighten up. So, this past weekend, she went to Nine Zero One salon in West Hollywood and changed up her color...which looks great on her, I think.

Even more remarkable are her new extensions. This is the first time I can remember them not looking embarrassingly busted. By golly, they actually look like real hair growing out of Britney's head...not like Sean Preston and Jayden James wove mommy's weave in during arts & crafts class.

I give Britney's new do 3 enthusiastic thumbs up.

I haven't considered myself a Britney Spears fan since circa 2001. But her new ditty, 3, has me kind of hooked.

Brit Brit's body looks SICK in the video, and her makeup is impressive. At the same time, I'm kinda wondering why homegirl is still rocking these tired-looking extensions. Surely, after two and a half years, she should have found something that looks better than this. I'm no extension/weave expert, so maybe this is the best Britney could find. But if that's the case, I would've told Mr. cameraman to cool it on the closeups.

Style Me, Baby - Three More Times

By now, you've probably heard that Miss Spears will be performing at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. And considering the caliber of last year's performance, I think it's a good move...there's nowhere to go but up, right?

To redeem herself from last year's stringy, extension nightmare, Brit Brit is gonna get her hair did by Kim Vo. He recently revealed that the tabloid queen will sport not one...not two...but THREE different hairstyles at this year's awards show.

The red carpet look will feature cascades of S-curls, which were all over the place at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. To achieve this style, section hair...and starting underneath, curl hair with a 3 barrel waver. Lightly spritz with flexible-hold hair spray to set the shape, then finger comb to break up the curls. With this hairstyle, Vo advises balancing the softness of the curls with a strong part.

For the second look, Britney will sport a sophisticated, low side pony with side-swept bangs. Kinda like beauty diva, Kim K (left).

The third look, for Brit's performance, is under lock and key.

Vo teases that we'll have to wait until the VMAs on September 7 for the hairstyle secret to be revealed.

Miracle Worker

I love makeup. It can work wonders. But it can't work miracles. Behold the power of Photoshop. Let's face it...Ms. Spears has been looking pretty to' up for some time now. And although I'll admit that she had some bad-ass makeup artists and photogs working on her September 2007 Allure cover shoot, even the love child of Kevyn Aucoin and Pat McGrath couldn't perform this kind of transformation.

Hopefully Britney will tack the Allure pictures up on her fridge and use them as motivation to put down the Cheetos, pick up her babies (and not drop them), and climb out of her downward shame spiral.
