Whether you're #AlexforJace or #MaxIronsforJace, one thing is for certain—the big-screen adaptation of Cassandra Clare's "Mortal Instruments" series needs #SomeoneforJace. And "Scream 4" star Nico Tortorella is ready to slay demons alongside star Lily Collins.
When Hollywood Crush got on the phone to chat with Nico about the upcoming Wes Craven horror flick, we just had to ask about his interest in that other potential blockbuster series. You see, Nico kinda, sorta confirmed toMovieline recently that he had met with Screen Gems about a role in the franchise's first installment, "City of Bones." But when we asked Nico for a firm confirmation, all he would give us was a "mmmmmmmmaybe."
Fine, Nico. Two can play that game. We then asked if, hypothetically, he were to star in "The Mortal Instruments," who would he want to play? "Jace is the go-to character for me," he revealed. "It's still a bit early on that movie, and you know everyone and their brother is up for it. We'll hopefully see how that unravels."
Nico admitted that he has yet to read Cassandra's engrossing series (SHAME!) but added that he hopes to dive in once his schedule dies down a bit.
If the 22-year-old doesn't land the coveted role of the snarky, sarcastic Shadowhunter, Hollywood Crush casting experts (okay, me) could totally see him playing Jace's serious, surrogate brother Alec Lightwood. I mean, Nico is too cute not to be in this movie.
