Takeshi Kitano returns to the Yakuza "Outrage"

Nine years after he directed a gangster/yakuza movie "Brother" in 2000, the internationally acclaimed Japanese director Takeshi Kitano finally unveiled details of his latest yakuza movie "Outrage."

The movie which Kitano wrote the script, will direct and also star in a leading role, is about power struggles among the Tokyo yakuza clans. Kitano plays a low-ranking gang leader who is doing dirty jobs for his superiors.

Co-starring with Kitano are Tomokazu Miura, Kippei Shiina, Ryo Kase, Jun Kunimura, Tetta Sugimoto, Renji Ishibashi and Takashi Tsukamoto.

Kitano's Office Kitano banner and Warner Japan are aiming to release the movie next year.
