Paul Greengrass ("The Bourne Ultimatum," "Green Zone") is in early talks to direct the remake of the 1966 sci-fi adventure-fantasy movie "Fantastic Voyage" for 20th Century Fox and James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment. Cameron will co-produce the movie.
"Fantastic Voyage" will be shot using the same 3D technologies Cameron and Jon Landau's Lightstorm used for "Avatar."
Shane Salerno "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem" has been hired to adapt the remake, which is about a a dying scientist whose only chance for survival rests with five colleagues who are miniaturized and injected into his bloodstream.
The original "Fantastic Voyage" was directed by Richard Fleischer, and starring Raquel Welch and Donald Pleasence.
