Box Office Battle: "Lion King 3D," "Dolphin Tale" & "Moneyball"

In a race that's too close to call at the current time, a trifecta of films are neck in neck while vying for the top spot at the box office over the weekend of September 30-October 2, 2011.

Topping all newcomers, last week's top three placers "The Lion King 3D," "Dolphin Tale" and "Moneyball" remained atop the pecking order when it comes to ticket sales - with the trio of motion pictures estimated to take home somewhere between $12-14 million each over the weekend.

Rounding out the top five this week are two newcomers, with the Joseph Gordon-Levitt fronted comedic drama "50/50" and Alex Kendrick directed drama "Courageous" both pacing towards opening weekends of $9 million.

As for the other two just-released movies, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz's "Dream House" is looking to finish in sixth position with $7.5 million while the Anna Faris starring comedy "What's Your Number?" is slotted for a seventh place closing with a $5.5 million debut.
