Steve Carell to Star in "Foxcatcher"

Based on a true life story, it's been reported that Steve Carell has signed on to star in Bennett Miller's latest project "Foxcatcher."

According to Variety, the six-time Emmy nominee will take the lead in the crime drama, which tells the story of a murder by Olympic wrestler John Du Pont.

As for Carell's part, he'll play "a paranoid schizophrenic and heir to the du Pont chemical fortune, as John du Pont built a wrestling training facility called Team Foxcatcher on his Pennsylvania estate, where in 1996, he shot and killed Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler David Schultz."

With E. Max Fry and Dan Futterman penning the script, "Foxcatcher" is slated to begin filming in March 2012.
