MTV VMAs Planning Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse Tributes

It’s less than to weeks away, and the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards will have touching tributes to two terrific singers.

First off, the evening will include a segment to honor Britney Spears. Executive producer Amy Doyle told press, “Britney will be at the show and we’ll be paying tribute to her.”

She continued, “She was having an incredible year and she is so beloved by the MTV audience that we started to think what could we do that would be a different experience.”

Additionally, the MTV peeps are considering paying homage to the late great Amy Winehouse, who died last month. “We had a great history with Amy. She was very near and dear to us.”
