NHK Television in Japan, immediately broke into the program lateon Thursday night with the news of the earthquake that struck thewater 11:32 pm, as well as information about a possible tsunami.
The announcer warns people near the coast to move immediately tohigher ground. NHK also said people away from buildings that weredamaged by the 9.0 earthquake on March 11.
